  "Orvos Monitooring” system consists of hardware-based and software-based facilities designed to establish centralized technical control of fixed objects.

  In order to transmit messages to the central monitoring station the following wired and wireless communication channels are used:

• Dial-up phone lines;
• Internet channel (TCP/IP protocol);
• VHF frequencies range (139 MHz – 174 MHz);
• UHF frequencies range (430 MHz – 470 MHz);
• GSM channel (SMS, GPRS).

  Being universal, our system has almost unlimited possibilities for implementation. This includes centralized protection of objects, controlling the functioning of various technical equipment, environmental control, etc.

  In order to transmit a signal safely across long distances within a city, the system uses 5 Watt radio transmitters. They ensure signal transmission up to 7 km within the city and up to 30 km in rural open areas.  Using directed antennas increases signal transfer up to several times. If there is a need to organize a secure network of information accumulation within a large area, special VHF/UHF repeaters are foreseen in the system. The Tallinn city network includes at the moment eight duplex repeaters.

  In order to organize local monitoring, for example, for protection of garden and suburban settlements, the system will be implemented with the equipment of smaller capacity, which operates at 433 MHz frequency. If necessary, these 433 MHz frequency signals can be retransmitted in VHF frequency range and delivered to the central monitoring station.

  In order to provide long distance monitoring, when it is not possible to receive VHF signals, a standard GSM digital cellular network may be used. Despite its relatively low safety, this channel is sometimes the only possibility.

 Currently "Orvos Monitooring" is probably the only commercial monitoring system in Estonia which possesses such a wide range of technical facilities. And it is the most reliable one, as well. All VHF radio equipment, including monitoring stations, has a 10 years warranty. We provide free replacement or repair of broken equipment within the whole warranty period without any additional conditions.
